Abstract

This article presents the results of a research and production study examining the effect of the biologically active microbial composition (BAMC) Symbion-D on milk production and the hematological status of lactating cows. BAMC Symbion-D is a multicomponent mixture of biologically active substances (metabolites) produced by a symbiotic culture of various species of yeast and acetic acid bacteria of the Medusomyces gisevii consortium, combined with pectin. Experimental studies were conducted at an agricultural enterprise in the Omsk Region engaged in the breeding and rearing of Red Steppe cattle. The study subjects were first-calf heifers, divided into an experimental (n=158) and a control (n=145) group. Cows in the experimental group were additionally administered 100 ml per head of the probiotic preparation Symbion-D daily for 70 days as part of their full-ration feed mixture during the morning feeding. Cows in the control group received only the basic diet. Results: an increase in average daily milk yield by 930 g per head, without affecting the fat and protein content of the milk; an increase in red blood cell count by 10,6 % and hemoglobin concentration by 9,5 %; an increase in total protein concentration by 14,01 %, globulin fraction by 11,24 %, creatinine by 12,54 %, and glucose by 7,67 %; an increase in alanine aminotransferase activity by 15,83 % against a background of a 19,95 % decrease in total bilirubin levels reflects adaptive processes in hepatocytes caused by improved bile flow. A microbiological study of milk showed that after 30 days of application of BAMC Symbion-D to cows, the proportion of samples with no growth of pathogenic and opportunistic pathogenic microorganisms increased from 16,7 % to 33,3 %. The culture liquid of Medusomyces gisevii in combination with pectin promotes activation of protein and energy metabolism, improves the functional state of the liver and the hematopoiesis system, which, together with an increase in productivity, allows us to consider this The composition is used as an effective metabolic corrector for cows during the breeding season.
